We generally rely on the declarations, warranties, and representations made by users when they submit information. However, we may request evidence of consent, authority, identity, relationship, legal basis, or purpose where we reasonably consider it necessary for safety, security, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, child protection, dispute handling, compliance, or legal reasons.
If you cannot provide satisfactory evidence when requested, we may refuse, pause, cancel, restrict, or terminate the service.

A scan involving a person under 18 years old may only be requested by:
- a parent;

- any decision made using or referring to a report is independently reviewed and lawfully handled.
You must not make an adverse, serious, or consequential decision about a person based solely on a MyCyberScan report.
Any serious decision affecting a person’s employment, reputation, rights, opportunities, finances, safety, family life, legal position, eligibility, or personal wellbeing must be independently verified and handled through lawful, fair, and appropriate processes.
12. Customized, Manual, or Enhanced Handling
In some circumstances, including for public figures, high-profile individuals, professionals, executives, at-risk persons, families, businesses, or customers with specific safety or reputational needs, we may offer customised, manual, enhanced, or otherwise tailored handling.
Any customised or manual handling remains subject to:
- these Terms;
- our Privacy Policy;
- our Security Practices;
- applicable law;
- safety requirements;
- operational limits; and
- our discretion.
No scan, report, communication, customised request, or customer instruction is exempt from legal, safety, privacy, security, fraud-prevention, abuse-prevention, or compliance requirements.
13. Reports Are Informational Only
MyCyberScan reports are provided for general informational and awareness purposes only.
A report is not:
- legal advice;
- HR advice;
- employment advice;
- private investigation advice;
- law enforcement advice;
- financial advice;
- psychological advice;
- safety advice;
- identity verification;
- a background check guarantee;
- a character assessment;
- proof of wrongdoing;
- proof of identity;
- proof that content is true, current, lawful, unlawful, complete, or connected to a specific person;
- a guarantee that a person is safe, unsafe, suitable, unsuitable, trustworthy, untrustworthy, employable, unemployable, eligible, ineligible, guilty, or innocent; or
- a substitute for independent review, professional advice, or lawful decision-making processes.
You are responsible for obtaining appropriate professional advice where required and for independently verifying any finding before relying on it.
14. No Guarantee of Results
Online information changes constantly.
Search engines, websites, social platforms, dating platforms, data brokers, public databases, explicit-content platforms, deepfake-related sources, breach-related sources, and other third-party sources may change, remove, restrict, hide, index, de-index, block, update, or display information at any time.
You acknowledge and agree that:
- a scan may not identify every result;
- a scan may miss relevant information;
- a scan may return false positives;
- a scan may include outdated, incomplete, inaccurate, duplicated, misleading, or third-party-generated information;
- a result may relate to a different person with the same or similar name, image, location, username, or details;
- image or face-matching tools may produce uncertain, partial, incorrect, or misleading matches;
- AI-assisted tools may produce errors;
- results may differ depending on time, location, source access, search availability, indexing, platform behaviour, and tool limitations;
- content found during one scan may later disappear, move, change, or become unavailable;
- content not found during one scan may later appear, reappear, become indexed, or become discoverable; and
- a clean, low-risk, or limited-result report does not mean no risk exists.
We do not guarantee any specific outcome, result, finding, removal, ranking, score, risk level, conclusion, or decision.
15. No Content Removal Unless Separately Agreed
MyCyberScan does not guarantee, provide, or perform content removal unless expressly stated in writing as a separate service.
Our standard service is to scan, review, and report potential online exposure and reputation risks.
We do not control third-party websites, search engines, social platforms, hosting providers, dating platforms, explicit-content websites, data brokers, public databases, breach sources, public records, government databases, or any other external source.
We are not responsible for whether third parties remove, change, keep, hide, republish, index, de-index, restrict, restore, or refuse to act on any content.
16. Estimated Delivery Time

We do not guarantee delivery within any exact timeframe unless we expressly agree to do so in writing.
17. Payment and Service Commencement
Customers must pay before a scan begins.
Payments may be processed through Stripe, credit card, express payment methods, or any other payment method we make available.
A scan begins only after payment and manual review approval.
We may refuse, pause, cancel, or decline a scan before or after payment if we reasonably believe the request may be:
- unlawful;
- unsafe;
- abusive;
- misleading;
- fraudulent;
- technically unsuitable;
- high-risk;
- outside the intended scope of the service;
- connected with prohibited use;
- unsupported by proper authority; or
- otherwise inconsistent with these Terms.
Where a refund is available, it will be handled in accordance with our Refund Policy.

This is subject to applicable law and any rights that cannot legally be excluded, restricted, or modified.

23. Report Integrity
You must not modify, edit, manipulate, forge, fabricate, misrepresent, or selectively present any MyCyberScan report in a way that is false, misleading, harmful, unlawful, or damaging to MyCyberScan or any person.
You must not claim that a modified, edited, incomplete, excerpted, or altered version of a report is an official MyCyberScan report.
We reserve the right to take appropriate action where we reasonably believe a report has been altered, misused, misrepresented, redistributed, sold, or used for unlawful or harmful purposes.
24. Privacy and Data Handling
